Aquaponics vs soil

Aquaponics uses 90% less water than soil-based production because the water is re-circulated in the system. Anything the plants don’t use is filtered then recirculated back to the fish tank.

With aquaponics, a small amount of energy is used to run the pump for water circulation and aeration. If using just the light of the sun, soil gardening could take less immediate energy for production.

With aquaponics, plants can be packed a lot tighter so more plants can be produced per square foot.

Aquaponic plants are more productive than plants grown in soil and will have a faster yield.
